Turck has announced that its IMS interface modules are now UL certified for Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D hazardous locations. The 6.2 mm wide IMS modules provide complete galvanic isolation, resisting electrical interference and noise in busy plant environments, with signal conditioning for new or retrofit hazardous area installations.

Turck has announced 1-16UN and 1-1/8-16UN minifast explosion-proof, feed-through receptacles, which install directly into standard 3/4 conduit entries without requiring additional conduit or poured seals. These quick-disconnect B-size (1) and C-size (1-1/8) receptacles expedite installation while maintaining the explosion-proof ratings of instrument housings and explosion-proof enclosures in Class I, Division 2 hazardous areas.

The United Nations General Assembly declared 22 March as World Water Day. This day was dedicated to technical projects aiming to improve the drinking water supply of people all over the world. One of these projects concerns a unique water supply system on Indonesia’s Java island, which was designed by scientists at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and was commissioned in March 2010.

FEAS Accupack LDR4012 and LDR4024 are made with charging regulators and serve to buffer 12 and 24 V systems. The Accupack LDR is designed to be connected between the line voltage and the installation in order to provide DC to the equipment. In the event of a mains power failure, the onboard sealed batteries supply the system, connected to the outlet. The supply duration depends on the load current of the consumer. The batteries can be easily replaced if necessary.
