Raytek Pi20 thermal imaging camera

Monday, 20 December, 2010 | Supplied by: ECEFast

The Raytek Pi20 thermal imaging camera has a full resolution of 320 x 240 pixels at 30 Hz and covers temperatures from -40 to 2000°C in two different models. Communications are via ethernet, with support for up to 16 cameras from one PC, and the Datatemp software allows for 64 AOI [areas of interest] to be defined with data recording, or control actions attached to each AOI. Analog and digital outputs are generated by I/O modules on the ethernet LAN, with functions being selectable during system configuration.

These cameras are designed to make it is easy to monitor extensive areas, stationary or moving, for critical temperatures that can appear at any position. This is not possible with line scanners or single point systems. Typical applications include: refractory monitoring in kilns and furnaces, electrical power installations, fire prevention in storage, and delivery temperature for products subject to self-heating, and process monitoring for electrolytic cells or batteries.

Software is often custom designed for various applications of these cameras. Raytek Datatemp Pi software is highly configurable and is intended to cover the majority of installations without modification, while a software development environment is available for other applications.
