Gates Quad-Power III notched raw- edge narrow section V-belts

Monday, 01 November, 2010 | Supplied by: Gates Australia Pty Ltd

Gates Quad-Power III is a range of notched raw-edge narrow section V-belts, designed to deliver higher power ratings, increased trouble-free service life and reduced energy consumption.

The construction features of the belts include a newly developed rubber compound that withstands chemically aggressive environments (acid and base), ageing, ozone, UV and heat. High-performance fibres embodied in the compound provide improved abrasion and wear resistance, and a high cord support in the undercord section is achieved by the transverse orientation of the fibres in the belt, reinforcing overall longitudinal flexibility and transverse rigidity.

The special notch profile with optimised geometry is designed to ensure belt stability, and the precision-ground sidewalls give a uniform wedging action.

The high flexibility of the belts gives them good reversed bending properties when used in situations where backside idlers are required.

The belts have an extended temperature range of -40 to +110°C, and a substantially reduced noise level. They are also static conductive (ISO 1813) and can be used in the conditions described in the Directive 94/9/EC - ATEX, and are REACH and RoHS compliant. They are also environment friendly, being halogen free, and offer significantly better resistance to static ageing.
