Intelligent remote access to PLCs

19 November, 2007

eWON provides a comprehensive and seamlessly integrated solution combined in a single package. It contains a modem, an IP router, drivers to 'speak' both DF1 and EtherNet/IP, as well as its own processor to manage the communication tasks autonomously and offer more services on the PLC variables.

Entry-level industrial ethernet

17 October, 2007

N-Tron's 100 series industrial ethernet switches, 104TX and 105TX, are low-cost unmanaged four- and five-port industrial ethernet switches.

Industrial Power over Ethernet (PoE)

18 June, 2007

Increasing demands for Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology in industrial applications can now be met with a complete end-to-end solution from CrispTech. PoE technology lets you eliminate the need for power outlets when deploying ethernet-enabled devices. This means that VoIP phones, IP cameras and other similar devices can be connected to the network and powered by a single ethernet cable.

Multenet serial/USB to ethernet router

17 April, 2007

The newly released Multenet router facilitates easy connection of remote devices (such as ATMs, remote monitoring devices, weighscales, emergency warning equipment) or remote networks, to corporate networks or the internet, in a simple, low-cost, yet very reliable device. Based on the successful Multenet PocketPAD series, the new router adds USB connectivity (in addition to two serial ports), as well as built-in VPN functionality. The result is secure and reliable asynchronous routing over dial-up (PSTN) or cellular (GSM/GPRS or 3G/HSDPA) modem links.

Schneider becomes ODVA principal member

11 April, 2007

Schneider Electric has become one of ODVA’s principal members and will significantly increase its level of support for the organisation.

Ethernet extender

23 January, 2007

The DDW 100 ethernet over copper extender from Westermo AS is not a router but a plug-and-play transparent bridge. It provides the ability to reuse an existing single twisted copper pair as a LAN segment up to a distance of 10 Km at up to 2.3 Mbps using robust SHDSL modulation.
