ICP Electronics Australia has announced a line of media converters from ORing. The IGMC series offers industrial-grade gigabit connectivity designed to extend the communication distance.
The IGMC-1011FX offers media conversion between 1000Base SX/LX and 10/100/1000Base-T, and the IGMC-1011GP converts 1000Base-FX with SFP socket to 10/100/1000T. The 1000Base-X with SFP socket offers flexibility to choose different SFP fibre transceivers to meet the distance requirements of various applications.
With ORing’s SFP fibre transceiver, SFP1G-ZX70, the IGMC-1011GP could extend the distance between point A and point B up to 70 km at the full transmission speed of 1000 Mbps.
The IGMC-1011FX/1011GP also features redundant power inputs, ranging from 12 to 48 VDC and a relay output warning alarm on a 6-pin terminal block.
The slim, rugged industrial design of IGMC-1011Fx/1011GP includes a rigid IP30 aluminium housing and a wide operating temperature range of -40 to +70 °C.
