Weld nut sensors

05 October, 2008 | Turck Australia Pty Ltd

Turck has introduced magnetic-inductive sensors for efficient and economic detection of weld nuts. These sensors use signal attenuation to reliably detect ferromagnetic components such as nuts, bushings and spacer sleeves and ensure these necessary components are present before robotic welding occurs — with no additional software or electronics required.

Motorised lens cameras

05 October, 2008 | Atlantek Vision Pty Ltd

Leutron Vision’s PicSight modular camera solution makes it possible for an image to be automatically adapted to different object sizes. PicSight Gigabit-Ethernet and smart cameras are now fitted with a fully integrated socket enabling motorised lenses with C or CS mountings to be connected directly to them.

Rotary air couplings

05 October, 2008 | SMC Australia | New Zealand

Networkforce/torque sensor system

05 October, 2008 | Romheld Automation Pty Ltd

ATI Industrial Automation has released a networkforce/torque (Net F/T) sensor system. The Net F/T system measures six components of force and torque (Fx, Fy, Fz, Tx, Ty, Tz) and provides an ethernet /IP and CANbus communication interface and is compatible with standard ethernet. The Net F/T system is available with all of ATI’s force/torque transducer models.

Pressure transmitters

05 October, 2008 | AMS Instrumentation & Calibration Pty Ltd

The AT9000 advanced transmitter from Yamatake is a microprocessor-based smart transmitter that features high performance and good stability. Capable of measuring gas, liquid, vapour and liquid levels, it transmits 4-20 mA DC analog and digital signals according to the measured differential pressure.

Wireless temperature and humidity system

05 October, 2008 | Testo Pty Ltd

The Saveris radio probes measure temperature and humidity. The probes save their measurement data and send it to the central base at regular intervals. If a limit value is exceeded, a radio link is established immediately.

CPU module

05 October, 2008 | Advantech Australia Pty Ltd

The SOM-4430 module, a super low-power SoC (system on chip) ETX CPU solution, uses Advantech’s super low-power EVA-X4300 SoC to provide a balance between computing performance and power saving with a minimum power consumption of less than 5 W.

HACCP flow control valves

05 October, 2008 | SMC Australia | New Zealand

SMC Pneumatics has developed a range of cost-effective stainless steel flow control valves that now carry HACCP endorsement. They are available in thread sizes from M5 to ½" BSP and catering for tube sizes from 4 to 12 mm OD in both straight and elbow configurations.

Waterproof panel PC

05 October, 2008 | Interworld Electronics and Computer Industries
