Treotham Automation has released the Wieland SNV4063KP safety switch that has a selectable access delay for applications on machines that have a slow rundown time.
This single-channel or 2-channel emergency stop unit is for safety gate applications to protect people and machinery during manufacturing. It also suits the monitoring of interlocking installations with position switches and integrated locking, as well as on-delay unlocking of the solenoid integrated into the position switches.
Equipped with simple electricals, a major feature of this product is its on-delay safety relay, which is suitable for use with any machine — or where there are rotating parts and the machine has a rundown time.
The device offers a 2-channel control along with an optional synchrocheck of the limit switches, and has three enabling current paths (two undelayed and one on-delayed).
The on-delay function can be adjusted over a range of 0.15-3.0 s or 1.5-30 s, according to the device type.
The unit provides a category zero stop according to EN60204-1 and the safety category of the device is 4 (undelayed contacts)/ 3 (delayed contacts) according to EN954-1.
