The Realcold Millers Mechanical 3D-Veyor Bi-Planer Chain Conveyor systems are especially suitable for the food processing industry and have applications in many other areas requiring conveying systems.

Robotic palletising and LGVs

13 March, 2009 | Supplied by: Hot Melt Packing Systems

The Euroimpianti Skilled ANT101 is a simple palletising robot. It has a modular construction and can be adapted to any pre-existing product conveyor and packaging line. The fully automatic, compact line dedicated palletisers remove the need for conveying to a centralised palletising area and enable independence of production lines. The Cartesian structured robot with four degrees of freedom houses one or two palletising stations and one pick-up conveyor. Its pick-up station conveyor has sloping rollers in order to guide and centre the cases before pick-and-place palletising. The adjustable pick-up gripper of mechanical or venturi vacuum style equipped with an anti-collision safety device provides the most flexible and reliable pick-and-place operation.

Vibrators

13 March, 2009 | Supplied by: Vibration Systems & Solutions (Australia) Pty Ltd

Standard pneumatic or electric vibrators are still the easiest option to help material flow from bins. They are easily fitted, needing only a channel or plate welded to the outside of the bin, with no cutting of the bin wall or requirement for any work in a confined space. In many cases this can be done with product in the bin, so that production is not interrupted. Regular-shaped circular or square hoppers usually only need one unit, giving savings in installation costs and in the cost of air, in the case of pneumatic models.

Robotic palletising

13 March, 2009 | Supplied by: Foodmach Pty Ltd

Robomatrix is a high-speed palletising system developed in response to an industry-wide need for increased flexibility to handle complex product and packaging configurations.

Rotary sealing blister machine

11 March, 2009 | Supplied by: Macropak Pty Ltd

The Noack N 921 rotary sealing blister machine from Romaco requires a minimum of space (4 m). The balcony design and servo drives improve product safety and harmonise all mechanical movements. This results in highly precise production processes at low life-cycle cost. Tool-free format changeover supports small batch sizes. The QuickFeed feeding unit, with its airglide system, enables product changes within seconds. The complete unit is manually removed for cleaning while production continues with an already prepared unit.

Loadcell weighing system

11 March, 2009 | Supplied by: Hi-Weigh Aust Pty Ltd

Hi-Weigh Australia has released a loadcell weighing system. The system comprises four stainless steel weigh modules, each fitted with an IP68 stainless steel loadcell, stainless steel sealed junction box and a digital weight display, which can take many output options.

Heat-sealing machine

11 March, 2009 | Supplied by: Macropak Pty Ltd

The Siebler HM 1/230 vertical heat-sealing machine from Romaco is used for the packaging of solid pharmaceutical products such as tablets, dragées, capsules and effervescent tablets. The single products are welded into foil packages using a heat-sealing process. Strip packaging is preferred for single doses used in hospitals and for drug samples, as well as for the packaging of medication for single dosage use.

Cartoner

11 March, 2009 | Supplied by: Macropak Pty Ltd

The Promatic P 91S horizontal intermittent motion cartoner from Romaco has a maximum output of 140 cartons per minute. The design of the machine allows any change in format to be made directly by the shift personnel. This accelerates production runs, particularly for small batch sizes, and provides a consistent production flow. The cartoner is operated by a touch screen, which automatically monitors the individual production steps and makes adjustments, if required. All secondary packaging processes are hence controlled flexibly and efficiently.
