The Katronic KATflow clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeters work on the transit-time method. This is based on the principle that sound waves travelling with the flow will move faster than those travelling against it. The resulting difference in transit time is directly proportional to the flow velocity of the liquid and consequently to the volumetric flow rate.
The Deltaflux orifice flowmeter is designed for measuring gas and liquid flows and suitable for high flow rate measurement and control in process flows, water treatment and gas furnace applications.
The Influx FloTrak metal VA flowmeter is designed for the measurement of gas and liquid. Fluid passing through an orifice within the tube causes a profiled float to assume a position where the forces created by flow are balanced by the weight of the float. A magnet in the float is sensed by the FloTrak system, providing a direct reading flow rate scale, optional alarms or a 4-20 mA output.
McCrometer’s V-Cone flow meter is claimed to be inherently more accurate than traditional DP instruments because of the flow conditioning function built into its sensor design. Its centrally located cone interacts with the fluid steam, reshaping the velocity profile to provide a stable signal that increases measurement accuracy.
The Promass 83X/84X is claimed to be the world’s first large, four-tube Coriolis mass flow meter. The 14″ (DN350) diameter flowmeter is suitable for measuring the mass flow, density and temperature of oil, gas and other fluids in large pipes, at flow rates up to 4100 tonnes/h.
The EngyCal RH33 Btu meter and RS33 steam meter provide high-precision data recording and billing information for custody transfer, steam measurement and energy-flow calculations for process and facility applications.
The Trimec TM Turbopulse mini and the larger TP Turbopulse turbine meter series measure flows of low viscosity liquids from 3 to 7,000,000 L/h in a range of sizes from 1/4 to 20″ (6~500 mm).

The ST100 Series thermal mass flow meter from Fluid Components International (FCI) now provides a modular design so that the flow meter can be adapted as necessary with a plug-in card replacement that can be changed out by plant technicians in the field. The meter can provide conventional 4-20 mA analog, frequency/pulse, alarm relays or digital bus communications such as HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus or Modbus.
The Gems FS-600 Series flow switch has a robust, ‘no moving parts’ design that works with both conductive and non-conductive fluids.
The HFS 2500 flow switch is based on the variable area float principle and can be used in any position in the system. The test medium moves a spring-loaded float in the direction of flow, depending on the flow rate. A reed contact is fitted to the outside and is therefore separate from the flow circuit. When the magnet inside the float reaches the preset position, the reed contact will switch.
The Trimec Multipulse Oval series PD flowmeters offer a high level of accuracy, turndown and repeatability. These precision meters are used for flow-rate measurement in flow monitoring and control applications and for totalising in dispensing and batching.
