The Pixsys TD240 is a HMI indicator and controller with integrated PLC ‘soft’ functions that has a 320 x 240 pixel TFT/LCD touch-screen front panel with a 256-colour display.

The device is suitable for a variety of applications including general automation, control and measurement applications, the control and monitoring of general automated machinery, as a stand-alone controller, alarm monitor and logger for building automation systems, food processing, chiller monitoring and control, weighing systems, packaging and food processing machinery.

The device allows an operator to visualise process data and images, indicate alarms, and perform data logging, as well as to display help messages and instructional text. All process variable set points are accessible and adjustable through the touch screen.

Integral to the device is an onboard programmable mini PLC. It is configurable in the same ladder language as other DIN rail-mounted PLCs. The graphics are programmable in TdDesigner software in a drag-and-drop fashion.

The memory card facility enables users to download firmware upgrades and pre-programmed changes to the device, speeding up the commissioning of the device on new installations, as well as upgrades or changes to existing installations.

The device has four configurable analog inputs for all thermocouple types, RTDs, 0/4-20 mA and 0-10 VDC inputs, as well as 16 digital I/O ports. Outputs include 16 selectable as static 700 mA outputs, four analog 0-10 VDC outputs, two RS232/RS485 serial ports, with support for Modbus RTU master/slave.
