AutomationDirect has released the Productivity1000 Mini PLCs, the first standalone models in the Productivity range with built-in I/O, combining the CPU and I/O into a single unit. Seventeen models are available to choose from with different communication options, I/O types and capacities, and available memory storage for up to 50 MB of user memory.

The Mini PLCs use the same ProductivitySuite programming software as the existing Productivity family of controllers. Models support up to five built-in communication ports simultaneously, including USB programming and serial communications. Select models include one or two 10/100 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet ports. Depending on the CPU model, a 10/100 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet port is provided for PLC programming or Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, MQTTS and custom UDP/TCP connections. P1-M622 models provide integrated support for GS drives, with PS-AMC functionality.

The compact form factor requires no base or backplane, and units can be used as a standalone controller or expanded with up to four snap-on I/O modules depending on the model, supporting up to 80 local discrete I/O points or 40 local analog I/O channels.

The Productivity1000 Mini series is suited to applications where reduced panel space, simplified wiring and lower hardware costs are priorities, without sacrificing the flexibility to scale I/O as system requirements grow.
