The NEC H2640 thermal imaging camera has a temperature resolution of 0.03 °C providing exceptional sensitivity. The uncooled 640 x 480 focal plane array detector delivers a 0.6 mrad instantaneous field of view with the standard 22º (H) x 16º (V) lens.

The H2640 also delivers full 30 Hz frame rate with onboard memory for over 830 discrete images, ensuring users can accurately capture high-speed thermal events. For clearer problem highlighting, the H2640 includes the visible and infrared ‘fusion’ feature that simultaneously overlays the visible image with the thermal image for easy identification of thermal hot spots.

Four discrete isotherm band displays are available for pinpointing heat sinks and heat sources, while voice and text annotation for field recording of events is standard.

The H2640 comes with a standard temperature range of -40 to 500 °C and, for added flexibility, can be extended up to 2000 °C to cover a broader range of applications.

The H2640 is suitable for use in manufacturing or factory environments and its high resolution allows users to conduct thermal inspections on switchboards and motor control cabinets. It can also be used to detect heat leaks and insulation losses around furnaces and heaters.

The H2640 has a 5.6 colour LCD for easy viewing and is highly portable, weighing just 1.7 kg.
