Sunday, 05 October, 2008 | Supplied by: ADM Instrument Engineering Group

Meanwell Enterprises has launched the first model in its slim DIN rail product series, the SDR-240, for the growing demand of high-performance DIN rail power supplies. The slim design of 63.5 mm in width helps save precious space on the rail and makes it 42.8% smaller in size in comparison to the previous model.

Featuring 93.5% efficiency, it can provide 240 W continuously or 360 W for 3 s up to 60°C, cooled by only free air convection. Standard functions include a built-in active PFC function, a DC-OK relay contact, an on-panel LED indicator and protection for short-circuit, overload, overvoltage and overtemperature. The dimensions of the unit are 63 x 125.2 x 113.5 mm and it is available with a DC output of 24 V, 10 A and 48 V, 5 A.

Complying with UL, CUL, TÜV and CE certification, this power supply is suitable for applications in factory automation, semiconductor fabrication equipment, marine-related installation and electromechanical applications with medium power demand.
