Tuesday, 18 October, 2011 | Supplied by: Phoenix Contact Pty Ltd

Phoenix Contact is expanding its glass fibre-optics product line to include the M12 circular plug connector. Now it is possible to fit indoor, flex and outdoor cables in variable lengths with all available connectors. In addition to the standard products, the company also offers customised solutions tailored to end-users’ individual requirements.

Cables and connectors can be flexibly combined for use in a variety of settings, from offices (IP20) to rugged industrial environments (IP67). Order quantities as low as one piece are possible. Customers requiring solutions not offered in the catalogue can order customer-specific products.

In addition to providing high data transmission rates, fibre optics can be easily installed in potentially explosive areas and is not susceptible to electromagnetic interference.
