Haydon Kerk sealed switches

Friday, 12 July, 2013 | Supplied by: Motion Technologies Pty Ltd

Haydon Kerk sealed switches are filled with dry nitrogen and used in commercial and military aircraft, military ground equipment, space applications and industrial applications with harsh environmental conditions, such as gas turbines, thrust reversers, high-temperature valves and research instrumentation.

They are variously rated for temperatures between -55 and +400°C, have a low 1x10-8 atm cc/sec leak rate, up to 1M cycles, and some are rated explosion proof. They are available with leaf spring, roller or roller lever actuation, and stainless steel or ceramic mounts when required. The metal corrosion-resistant housings of some switches withstand most media and allow immersion in fluids such as synthetic hydraulic oils and jet fuels.
