SDR-120 DIN rail power supply

Tuesday, 29 September, 2009 | Supplied by: ADM Instrument Engineering Group

The Mean Well SDR-120 is an AC/DC isolation Class I DIN rail power unit.

The SDR-120 series claims up to 91% efficiency and can provide 120 W continuously or 180 W peak for 3 s, with free air convection cooling. With a built-in active PFC function, SDR-120 is a full-range AC input (88-264 VAC) switcher that fulfils the requirement of EN61000-3-2 for harmonic current. The slim design of 40 mm in width helps save space on the rail and also makes it 30.69% smaller in size compared to its predecessor model DR-120.

Other standard functions include a DC OK relay contact, front panel LED indicator, and protection for short circuit, overload (constant current limiting, with shutdown after 3 s), overvoltage, and overtemperature. To fulfil the requirements of marine and semiconductor related usage, SDR-120 also complies with GL and SEMI F47 norms in addition to UL, CUL, TÜV, and CE certificates. Suitable applications are factory automation, semiconductor fabrication equipment, marine-related installation and electromechanical applications.
