The 2700 range of stainless steel pumps is suitable for applications in corrosive and abrasive environments; for example, mines, industries and public utilities. The range consists of both drainage and solids handling pumps. They are especially designed for pumping applications with a pH range of 2-10; this means environments where acid or alkaline liquids have to be handled.

Corrosion-resistant pumps in the range are designed to be wear resistant, robust and easy to handle and maintain. The range consists of three drainage pumps and three solids handling pumps, all available for 50 or 60 Hz. Typical applications are acid mine drainage, wash water sumps in pickling bath processes in the steel industry, pH-neutralisation of the wet scrubber process in the steel and power industries, and utility drainage on landfill sites.

The robust and uniform pump design incorporates a maximum of standardised components, claimed to facilitate and lower cost for maintenance. For example, the pumps have double mechanical shaft seals, where the same shaft seal fits all pumps in the range. The pump's outer housing is impact resistant, making the pumps suitable for operation in tough environments. A slim pump profile enables easier installation in confined spaces and into pipes. A ring-shaped handle gives good manoeuvrability during installation and serves as a stand when the pump is inverted for service. Furthermore, the drainage pumps can easily be converted from high head version to normal head version.
