B2XRA centrifugal pump

Friday, 06 October, 2006

A self-priming centrifugal 2" pump has been released by Australian Pump Industries.

Manufactured from cast 316 stainless steel, the pump is designed for corrosive liquids ranging from seawater, agricultural spray chemicals and acids.

Called the B2XRA, it has flows to 800 L/min and heads to 24 m.

The unit can prime from more than 6 m without the use of foot valves and operators don't need to prime the whole suction line before starting the pump.

The impeller is an open style designed to pass small solids in suspension. It is designed as a close coupled motor pump powered by a 5.5 hp, 416 V, two-pole, three-phase motor. It is also available with hydraulic drive, outboard bearing drive (bare shaft) or powered by close coupled petrol or diesel engines.

A mechanical seal with ceramic face is supplied as standard but tungsten carbide or silicon carbide seals are also available.
