33 W sixteenth brick series

The KW006-010TM series of sixteenth brick isolated power modules is a new generation of single output DC-DC power converters. Designed for optimum efficiency and power density, this DC-DC converter series joins the 50 W KW010/015/020/025 products as a suitable choice for small space, high current and low-voltage applications in enterprise equipment, data processing equipment, access, wireless and optical network equipment, and distributed and hybrid power architectures.

Delivering up to 33 W of output power, the converters provide output voltages of 3.3 V at 10 A and 5 V at 6 A with an input voltage range of 36 to 75 VDC. The series incorporates synchronous rectification technology and innovative packaging techniques to achieve high efficiency reaching 87% at 3.3 V full load. KW Series converters operate over the industrial temperature range of -40 to 85 °C. The modules have an industry standard sixteenth brick footprint of 1.30 x 0.90 x 0.335 in (33.0 x 22.9 x 8.50 mm) and are RoHS compliant (2002/95/EC).

The modules are available in surface mount (SMT) tape and reel packages. Standard features include remote on/off, negative logic, output voltage adjustment, remote sense, over-voltage (latching), over-current and over-temperature protection (non-latching). Remote on/off positive logic is available as an option.
