Wittenstein alpha XP+ HIGH TORQUE planetary gearbox
The XP+ HIGH TORQUE planetary gearbox from Wittenstein alpha offers high torque density and torsional rigidity. The maker claims up to 144% more torque density, double the torsional rigidity, two-and-a-half times better tilting moment capacity and 15% less overall length for the same size.
With the optional cynapse module — an integrated sensor module with a data logger and an IO-Link communication interface — the gearbox enables connections to digitalised drive axes and machines.
It is designed for applications in machine tools, packaging equipment, automated handling systems and special-purpose machines where high positioning accuracy and repeatability are called for, and frequent changes of direction are the norm.
Currently the series offers a coaxial planetary gearbox in four different sizes, with five gear ratios and three output shapes available.
