Ready-to-use robot dress-packs

For the quick replacement of energy chain systems on welding robots, igus now offers fully assembled dress-packs. Easily adapted to the user’s standard, these solutions can be connected quickly and easily to the robot and therefore minimise production downtime.

Pre-assembled systems help to keep maintenance and assembly work as low as possible. The dress-packs consist of a three-dimensional triflex R energy chain from igus, completely filled with chainflex cables and hoses for supplying energy, data and media. They can be adapted to the user’s individual requirements — eg, users can choose between different bus systems as well as different hose manufacturers or cable cross-sections. It is also possible to have the cables harnessed directly by igus according to 24 manufacturer standards with original plug connectors.

Using pre-assembled dress-packs guarantees a quick replacement of the energy supply. For further applications for industrial robots, igus offers both customer-specific advice and an easy-to-use online configurator. With the QuickRobot tool the right solution from over 2000 options can be selected and ordered by specifying the robot manufacturer and the model series. On request, igus supplies suitable retraction systems to guide the energy chains with constant tension to the end of the robot arm, and also offers on-site installation on request.
