The GE DPI 620 IS intrinsically safe calibrator, HART communicator and PDA system is now ATEX and IECex approved for use in hazardous zones where explosive atmospheres are likely to occur.

The modular system 620 IS is approved to Ex II 1G EEx ia IIC T4 for use in all explosive areas (except mining), and for all gas types with a temperature class of T4 or lower. The approval extends the range of potential applications of the DPI 620 communicator/calibrator, specifically in the oil and gas and process sectors.

The system comprises the DPI 620 combined multifunction calibrator, HART communicator and industrialised PDA and a range of expansion modules, including 32 pressure modules and a choice of pressure generation stations from vacuum to 100 bar/1500 psi pneumatic or 0 to 1000 bar/15,000 psi hydraulic.
