Pepperl+Fuchs’ combined Ex de panel solutions are designed to provide the flexibility to integrate both sparking and non-sparking components into a single, fully certified enclosure system. Designed for hazardous areas, these modular solutions combine the strengths of Ex d flameproof enclosures, which safely house sparking components such as contactors, relays and circuit breakers, with Ex e increased safety enclosures that simplify wiring, maintenance and future modifications. The result is a practical, scalable solution that reduces complexity without compromising safety.

At the heart of the system is an aluminium flange, engineered to seamlessly connect Pepperl+Fuchs enclosure ranges while maintaining explosion and ingress protection. Certified line bushings provide a safe cable transition between enclosures, while the robust flange design strengthens the overall assembly and enables simple expansion by connecting multiple enclosures into one integrated system. Users can choose from a range of durable enclosure options including GRP, stainless steel and aluminium, with combinations available across the GR, SR, EJB/EJBX and GUB/GUBX series.

Ex e cable glands further streamline installation and reduce overall project costs. The same modular flange technology also allows GR and SR Ex e enclosures of matching dimensions to be combined, maximising available space and simplifying the design of larger control panels, control stations and wireless access point enclosures.
