A recent energy audit at its manufacturing facility paved the way for Geofabrics to optimise its on-site compressed air system, and derive staggering ongoing energy savings.

Improving the energy efficiency of industrial refrigeration plants

06 December, 2010

Minimising the power consumption of industrial and commercial processes is gaining increased focus with rising oil and coal prices, as well as impending emission trading systems in Australia and elsewhere. The power consumed by large industrial refrigeration plant often makes up the major portion of site power used on refrigeration-intensive sites, such as food processing plants.

Ingersoll Rand R-Series 90-110 kW rotary screw air compressors

19 July, 2010 by

The Ingersoll Rand R-Series 90-110 kW rotary screw air compressors have an integrated, intelligent system, called Progressive Adaptive Control (PAC), that continuously monitors key operating parameters and adapts to prevent unexpected downtime. For example, should the filtration system start to clog or foul on a variable speed unit, the system will immediately display a real-time warning and maintenance indicator. Unlike conventional compressor controls, it won’t shut down the compressor should the situation worsen. Instead, it reduces the airflow to prevent overloading the compressor cooling system.

Boge API-SO series of oil-free compressors

19 July, 2010

The Boge API-SO series of oil-free compressors now meets the API 619:2004 standard. The series incorporates the same design features of the standard SO series and is suitable for chemical and pharmaceutical, food and drinks and semiconductor industries as well as the petrochemical and gas industries.
