VLT low harmonic drives
30 July, 2009The VLT Aqua Drive, VLT Automation Drive and VLT HVAC Drive are now available in a low harmonic version. The VLT low harmonic drive reduces the harmonic distortion and load on the supply network by actively imposing currents in counter phase, so that the high-quality sine wave of the network current is restored.

Pump and fan drive
25 June, 2009 byABB has announced a low-voltage AC drive, specifically targeted at pump and fan applications ranging from 0.37 to 22 kW. Built-in PID controllers are used to vary the drive’s performance in response to changes in pressure, flow or other external data, modifying the performance according to the needs of the application. This can eliminate the need for an external PLC and helps to save energy.

VLT direct mounting system
