Bonfiglioli honoured for its Australasian commitment

Bonfiglioli Transmission has been honoured at the 2008 Australian Bulk Handling Awards for its commitment to the Australasian market.

The judges gave Bonfiglioli the Highly Commended Award for its major investments in new stock, technology, facilities and initiatives which showed a major commitment to the market and its customers.

The latest initiatives announced by the Managing Director of Bonfiglioli Transmission, Malcolm Lewis, include a $12 million investment in stock and technology to position the company for further expansion in 2009. He also detailed further investment in local assembly and testing technology at the company’s Australasian headquarters in Sydney, where nearly $10 million has been spent to provide a state-of-the-art facility.

Addressing more than 100 guests at the awards, Lewis announced new national and international production facilities to meet the increased demand for the company’s heavy-duty drives, including HD and Trasmital types.

Bonfiglioli is commencing local assembly of the HD series during 2009.
