Linear actuators

09 June, 2009 | Motion Technologies Pty Ltd

The Linmot linear actuators were originally conceived to replace air cylinders where more than two positions were needed. Rated speeds over 3 m/s and peak forces up to 585 N are available now, with a 1200 N model coming later this year.

Tower lights

09 June, 2009 | Micromax Pty Ltd

The EZ-Light TL50 tower lights by Banner Engineering are designed to deliver highly visible operator guidance and indication of equipment status. Displaying up to five colours in one tower and allowing multiple colours to be lit simultaneously, these preassembled and preconfigured multi-segment indicators replace conventional stack lights, which often require time-consuming assembly and complex wiring. In addition, models featuring audible alert with adjustable intensity are available for applications requiring sound indication.

09 June, 2009 | IFS Australia

IFS has launched its Eco-footprint Management tool to provide organisations with control and transparency on the environmental impact of their operations. The tool offers customers an enterprise standard methodology to help them control costs and meet the need to prepare for compliance with environmental legislation.

Outdoor-safe laser scanner

09 June, 2009 | SICK Pty Ltd

The OS2000 is a certified-safe laser scanner system for outdoor use. It combines the hardware and software of the Sick LMS outdoor laser measurement system with the safety level of the UE4470 safe programmable logic controller, which is certified as a safety component within the sense of the Machine Directive. Typical application examples of the system solution, which received approval from TÜV Rhineland, include door and gate protection, cranes, manned and unmanned vehicles, waterway structures such as bascule bridges or locks, and rail or conveyor systems.

Four-channel wireless temperature transmitter

09 June, 2009 | Emerson

The Rosemount 848T wireless temperature transmitter is designed for high-density temperature measurement. With four-channel efficiency adding to the installation cost savings of Smart Wireless technology, it is designed to reduce the per point cost and thereby deliver more measurement data for use in improving operations and maintenance.

Kinematics control solution

09 June, 2009 | SEW-Eurodrive Pty Ltd

Combining kinematics control with conventional motion control, the MOVI-PLC Kinematics motion controller now provides manufacturers with six degrees of freedom controllability — comprising three-dimensional positioning and three planes of orientation.

Low-power RTUs

09 June, 2009 | Ovarro

Semaphore has announced first shipments of updated, low-power Kingfisher SCADA system RTU products. The Kingfisher LP-2 and LP-3 are fully compatible with the LP-1 model, which they replace.

NHP carries stock of the Santerno range of variable speed drives, which includes the Sinus Nano, Micro and Penta drives.

Intrinsically safe pressure sensor

09 June, 2009 | Turck Australia Pty Ltd

The PT4400 pressure sensor series is designed for intrinsically safe locations. The series utilises a media-isolated stainless steel diaphragm for use in pneumatics, water management, hydrogen storage, hydraulic systems, oil and gas, HVAC/R and industrial OEM equipment.

Light towers

09 June, 2009 | Direct Automation Pty Ltd

EMA LED multi-layer light towers are designed to monitor status and alarm conditions. They are available in 70 mm diameter and are easier to install, due to the modular twist-and-lock design. Each light element can be mounted or replaced without the need for any tools. Each of the light modules can be user selectable for either continuous or flashing, which reduces inventory.

09 June, 2009 | Dwyer Omega (Aust) Pty Ltd

The model LDL2-030 vented water level data logger has a vented cable and end cap to allow it to automatically compensate for atmospheric pressure fluctuations.

Unvented water level data logger

09 June, 2009 | Dwyer Omega (Aust) Pty Ltd

The model LDL-030 unvented water level data logger is a compact and portable device. It measures water level up to 9.14 m and has an internal temperature sensor that accurately records temperatures between -40 and 80 °C.

Web client SCADA visualisation solution

09 June, 2009 | GE Intelligent Platforms

GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms has announced Proficy HMI/SCADA — iFIX WebSpace, a full-featured web client for the company’s iFIX visualisation solution.

Rate controller

09 June, 2009 | Scale Components Pty Ltd

Hardy Instruments’ HI 4060 is a compact, single-feeder, closed-loop rate controller for use in a variety of applications, including auger, belt and vibratory-based feeders, converting them from volumetric to gravimetric. After supplying excitation to the load sensors and digitising the weight signal, the rate controller provides an analog output to control the feeder speed and adjusts this signal based on the required rate at which the feeder is losing weight. This rate controller features an embedded web server, true five-point automatic rate calibration, automatic feeder refill, various alarms including rate tolerance and disturbance, and optional DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, remote I/O, Profibus, Modbus TCP/IP and analog communications. It also includes Hardy’s Waversaver technology to eliminate the effects of surrounding vibration for fast, stable weight display, electronic calibration without test weights, an <0x000A>SD memory module card for fast transfer of configuration data and integrated system diagnostics and troubleshooting.
