Kardex opens new Sydney office
Kardex has opened its new Australian office in Sydney with an opening ceremony at its new premises in Lidcombe Business Park in Western Sydney. Guests were given live demonstrations of Kardex’s Vertical Lift Module (VLM) and the company’s AutoStore Grid in action in the showroom.
Kardex’s cube-based AutoStore automated storage and retrieval (ASRS) system is a modular, high-density, flexible order fulfilment solution. Kardex says it is the world’s fastest ASRS and increases throughput, maximises storage space, and has the flexibility to adapt and scale to meet changing business needs.
In addition, Kardex Remstar showcased its goods-to-person VLM, which features an enclosed shelf-based storage system. Designed to increase capacity in a more compact footprint, the modular VLM is easy to use and increases productivity by delivering goods directly to the operator.
“We have had a great day at our new premises, generating excitement about the potential our intralogistics solutions offer companies in Australia to improve the efficiency, safety and scalability of their operations,” said Alan Gemmell, Kardex Head of Commercial for Remstar. “The new office provides an excellent resource, with a showroom, expert staff and a prime location in Lidcombe Business Park. It demonstrates our commitment to the Australian and New Zealand market, as well as our desire to provide our customers with the best possible localised support and the automation solutions that work for them.”
“We are delighted to expand our presence in Australia and we are seeing a real appetite among businesses of all sizes for the AutoStore system,” said Kardex Head of the AutoStore Solutions Business Unit Daniel Hauser. “Our widening portfolio of innovative purpose-built tools to enhance AutoStore systems sets us apart from our competitors, speeding up, eliminating errors and futureproofing warehouses. It is one of the key reasons we are the world’s fastest-growing AutoStore integrator.”
