Range of data acquisition modules

A new line of Modbus based IO modules for data acquisition and other applications is now available from CrispTech.

The IO modules offer a highly reliable, low cost solution for distributed IO applications using either standalone SCADA systems or with PLC attached IO using Modbus communications.

The modules are portable, easily integrate with any existing Modbus networks and are simple to install and monitor. Various type of digital and analog and RTD IO modules are available for different requirements.

The modules are configured as Modbus slaves and will easily communicate with a Modbus Master such as SCADA/PLC/HMI. They connect using a two-wire RS485 interface with Modbus RTU protocol and a range of interface converters is available for RS232, ethernet and other systems.

IO Studio software is provided and enables configuration, real-time status checking and some diagnostics from a local PC.

An additional software package to be released in the next few months will also allow users to create a mini SCADA system for simple applications. This will provide further collection and analysis of data in real time and provide data logging, data export, alarming, and a real-time graphical environment to support systems of up to 1024 tags.

The product range includes: digital input and relay output modules; RTD and thermocouple inputs; current and voltage inputs; analog outputs 4-20 mA and 0-10 VDC; a combination AI, AO, DI, DO, RTD unit.
