Designed for the food and machine tool industries, the SQ volumetric flow sensor from ifm is designed for low volumetric flow quantities. It has been designed for dosing of water and aqueous solutions up to 200 mL/min. Flow and temperature are measured at the same time and can be supplied as either a switched or analog output.
The measuring pipe itself is inside the unit, offering high protection against mechanical strain. The connection to the system is made via a G 1/8 process connection.
Analog, binary or pulse outputs offer various possibilities to process the measured data. Volumetric flow quantities, total quantities or temperature are also indicated via a 4-digit alphanumeric LED display directly on the unit.
The volumetric flow sensor SQ operates according to the calorimetric measuring principle. The permissible temperature range of the medium is between 0 and 60 °C. The sensor is connected via a standardised M12 connector.
