Turck BIM-UNR, BIM-UNT and Q-pak sensors with WeldGuard

Turck has announced that its BIM-UNR, BIM-UNT and Q-pak sensors are now equipped with WeldGuard protection, making them impervious to weld slag and spatter often present in MIG and TIG welding environments. The protective material has been applied to these compact, rectangular sensors’ faces and protective sleeves are also available to protect the attached connector and cordset.

The BIM-UNR sensor is designed to mount within C-groove cylinders, while the BIM-UNT mounts in T-groove, dovetail or tie-rod pneumatic cylinders, without requiring additional tools or accessories.

Q-pak uprox+ factor 1 proximity sensors feature an extended sensing range of 8 mm for all metal types, including copper, aluminium and stainless steel. The series includes the Q08 sensor, which consumes a small footprint and is suitable for areas with limited mounting space. An IP68 protection rating ensures the sensors can be deployed in a wide variety of applications.
