Magnetic multi-turn shaft encoders
PCA has released the Fraba/Posital magnetic multi-turn shaft encoders.
The encoders do not use any batteries or gearing mechanism to keep track of the number of turns, unlike many other multi-turn encoders.
The small package, 36.5 mm diameter and relatively low cost provide an opportunity to use these absolute multi-turn encoders in places not previously thought possible, according to PCA.
