Compact miniature fork sensors and fork label sensors have been launched by wenglor sensoric for various detection tasks in packaging, conveyor and automation technology. While the fork sensors enable reliable object detection in confined spaces, the label sensors are designed to provide stable labelling processes for transparent, glossy or low-contrast materials.

The fork sensors combine a particularly compact format with high switching accuracy so they can be integrated in confined installation situations, such as in shuttles or automated guided vehicles. They capture small parts from a size of 0.7 mm and are available in three fork widths of 10, 20 and 30 mm. With their low weight, space-saving format and IP67/IP68 degree of protection, the miniature fork light barriers are particularly suitable for applications in conveyor systems, assembly processes and robots.

The fork label sensors utilise optical or ultrasound-based technology for the detection of a wide range of label materials. The optical sensors use infrared light to identify labels based on the light signal received. Ultrasonic label sensors detect labels regardless of colour, transparency and surface finish based on different sound attenuation. This makes them particularly suitable for transparent, glossy and low-contrast labels. With a response time of only 0.25 ms, they also provide reliable detection at high belt speeds.
