The USi-Industry from Pepperl+Fuchs is designed to provide reliable object detection in challenging environments and outdoor areas, regardless of material, colour or surface finish. Designed for versatility, the product features miniature ultrasonic transducers that are separate from the evaluation unit, allowing for installation in tight spaces. Its IP69-rated transducers generate an elliptical, three-dimensional sound field with opening angles of ±17° and ±5° for high detection performance.

With two fully independent sensor channels, the USi-Industry offers increased flexibility, since each channel supports two distinct parameter sets that can be switched via a configurable digital input. A comprehensive teach-in mode allows not only the programming of switch points but also the learning of the entire detection environment. Additionally, three selectable operating modes and adjustable sensor cycle times enhance adaptability to various applications.
