Technical Innovation of the Year Award winner announced
Energy Recovery has announced its PX Pressure Exchanger energy recovery technology has been awarded the pump industry’s top honours for innovation of the year.
The 2008 Pump Industry Awards are designed to honour those companies and individuals who achieve the highest standards and best practices in areas of manufacture and supply, including innovation, energy savings, sales growth and customer care.
ERI was given the award based on its product development efforts for its PX Pressure Exchanger energy recovery device: a rotary positive displacement pump that recovers energy from the high-pressure reject stream of seawater reverse osmosis systems at up to 98% efficiency.
These devices, built around highly engineered ceramic working components, have only one moving part and require no electricity to operate.
