Bonfiglioli gains Australian assembly line

Tuesday, 17 March, 2009

Bonfiglioli has commissioned a complete assembly and testing line dedicated to HDP parallel shaft and HDO bevel helical gearboxes.

The HD series features a modular design from the ground up, which was always intended to be assembled remotely around the globe to customer requirements by qualified Bonfiglioli subsidiaries.

“The new production and testing line in Sydney will assemble gear drives from 14,000–125,000 Nm, cutting delivery times out of Europe by more than half," said Bonfiglioli Australasia Managing Director Malcolm Lewis.

HDP drives in sizes 60–140 and HDO drives in sizes 100–140 will be among the first to be assembled locally.
