Wednesday, 03 December, 2008

Heavy-duty motors and drives manufacturer, Bonfiglioli has set up a permanent office in Singapore to further propel expansion of its Asia–Pacific and Australasian operations.

Bonfiglioli Australasian managing director Malcolm Lewis said the Singapore office will enhance local service to major customers in the area, including those involved in cranes, primary processing, materials handling, marine, mining, mineral processing, manufacturing, water and wastewater, cement and offshore oil development.

“These are markets in which we already have considerable expertise as a result of our existing activities throughout Australasia and the Asia–Pacific," said Lewis.

"There is a strong market in the region for helical drives, planetary Trasmital drives and combination drives — types that are already being engineered and delivered in Australasia to resources, infrastructure and processing industries."

The new plant is situated in the Binh Duong industrial city near Ho Chi Minh City.
