LAPP Australia has announced Wieland UPS modules that are able to support a wider variety of battery options, including lead, nickel, lithium and supercapacitors.
These advanced UPS modules feature an integrated battery charger for 12–48 VDC and can automatically sense input voltage, load current and battery current. A battery health monitoring system measures battery resistance, temperature and charge/discharge cycles, and has a Coulomb counter.
Suitable for energy management applications as well as user software, these UPS modules have a Modbus over USB and RS485 interface for control and monitoring, with an optional connection for a battery thermal sensor.
An embedded user interface features four keys and one colour LCD display. It allows for online device configuration and displays the module’s status, logs and alarms. PC user software is used for remote monitoring and configuration, firmware upgrades and connection through Modbus.
