The Handte Venturi wet scrubber is designed for applications with high dust loads, and is designed to deliver effective separation of airborne contaminants through the Venturi principle. By injecting water into the exhaust airstream, the system creates fine droplets that capture particles and contaminants before they can be released back into the environment.

As contaminated air passes through the Venturi throat, the high-velocity interaction between air and water droplets promotes efficient particle capture. The resulting mixture enters the downstream separation section, where centrifugal forces remove contaminants from the airflow. Cleaned air is then discharged through the clean-side fan, while captured pollutants are collected within the scrubber water system for safe handling and disposal.

The system achieves effective removal of medium to ultrafine particles down to 0.5 μm.

The Venturi is well suited to demanding industrial environments where conventional dry filtration may not be practical. Typical applications include flammable and explosive dusts, metal dusts such as aluminium, magnesium, titanium and steel, as well as sticky powders and greasy vapours.
