Swisslog and ATLC announce logistics automation event
Swisslog Australia and ATLC (Australian Trade and Logistics Corporation) are hosting an “Afternoon of Automation” to discuss key trends in the automation industry and how they will affect companies in Australasia.
The event, to be held in Sydney on Tuesday, 2 August from 2 to 5 pm, will look at the future of the industry with guest speakers from companies including ANSTO (Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation), Linfox, SKUTOPIA and InvertiGro.
“The event is a great opportunity for leaders in logistics, warehousing and materials handling automation to openly talk about local and global changes in the industry, and the real-world impacts these will have on companies,” said Swisslog ANZ Head of Sales and Consulting Cuong Vo.
Topics to be discussed will include:
- Market trends and future of the manufacturing industry in Australia and around the world.
- Using extensions and modernisations to maximise ROI on existing systems.
- Automation outlook and the future of the industry.
These discussions will be further supplemented by case studies from Australian companies using logistics automation to achieve complex goals in demanding industries such as food and beverage, e-grocery, retail, manufacturing, e-commerce transport and process engineering.
“Having guest speakers from such successful Australian companies will provide valuable insights into what the industry is doing well — and where we need to improve, if we are to meet customer demands now, and into the future,” Cuong said.
Guest speakers at the Swisslog and ATLC Afternoon of Automation event include:
- ANSTO, which conducts some of Australia’s most important national scientific research and operates much of Australia’s landmark and national infrastructure, including one of the world’s most modern nuclear research reactors, OPAL.
- Linfox, Asia–Pacific’s largest privately-owned logistics company, involving more than 24,000 people across Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia.
- SKUtopia, which enables profitable scalability for the eCommerce industry through software-enabled operations, allowing businesses to scale their business from one order to 10,000 orders.
-
InvertiGro, a company that is aiming to revolutionise indoor vertical farming, with fully integrated, cost-effective and flexible solutions that enable sustainable and reliable production of fresh and healthy produce.
“With supply chain issues, and global forces impacting logistics operations of all sizes, it is going to be up to industry experts to find solutions. These companies are at the forefront of their industries, and will have useful contributions that will help shape the future of automation in Australasia,” Cuong said.
