Schneider Electric has been ranked 9th in the 2015 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World (Global 100) index.

The index, which is released by Corporate Knights, a Toronto-based media and investment advisory company, ranks the top sustainability performers in their respective industrial sectors, selected from 4609 listed companies with a market capitalisation greater than US$2 billion.

“The Global 100 represents the corporate trailblazers who are forging new ways to make more with less,” said Toby Heaps, CEO of Corporate Knights.

The Global 100 is determined using 12 quantitative sustainability indicators, including the amount of revenue companies generate per unit of energy consumed and lost-time injury rate.

For 10 years, Schneider Electric has been building its Planet & Society barometer to measure its sustainability performance. The sustainability scorecard includes objectives defined for a three-year period and quarterly results for its key performance indicators.
