Thursday, 06 December, 2012

Process Group has won a contract to design, fabricate and deliver LNG pre-treatment technology for AGL Energy’s Newcastle Gas Storage Facility (GSF). The plant is expected to be the largest of its kind in Australia.

The plant will employ liquefaction and vaporisation technologies provided by CB&I and will have the capacity to store about two weeks’ supply of gas for the Greater Newcastle region. The LNG liquefaction unit will have a capacity of 182 tons of LNG each day.

Process Group will undertake engineering design and procurement activities for its scope of supply through its Melbourne head office, with some engineering support from its Singapore office.

Process Group said it is “proud to add this innovative and potentially market-shaping project to [its] already comprehensive list of complex and challenging project references.”
