The Institute of Instrumentation, Control and Automation (IICA) and the Australian Institute for Non-Destructive Testing (AINDT) will bring two new zones to the 2014 Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference (AOG).

AOG, Australia’s largest oil and gas event, has announced the two new zones: the Non-destructive Testing and Condition Monitoring zone and the Instrumentation, Control and Automation zone. The zones will create a platform for members to connect with leaders and decision-makers in the oil and gas industry.

Each zone will host a comprehensive three-day seminar program which will provide industry insights and trends.

“The AINDT zone and seminar program will be an unmissable feature of AOG 2014 for maintenance and quality-assurance professionals,” said Ian Hogarth, AINDT President.

“AINDT’s partnership with AOG gives our members the opportunity to showcase the high levels of service and advanced technology available in maintenance and damage assessment, life extension, and fitness-for-purpose assessment in the oil and gas industry.”

“With more than $200 billion worth of LNG projects planned or already in construction in Australia, the LNG sector represents a huge opportunity for our members. Through the IICA zone at AOG 2014, our members will be able to connect with thousands of visitors and senior project and procurement managers at the helm of upcoming projects,” said Ernst Krauss, IICA WA Branch Chairman.

The zones are just some of the many new features to be announced for AOG 2014, which will be held at Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from 19 to 21 February 2014. AOG 2014 has also teamed up with the federal and Western Australian governments to launch the Australian Industry zone, a new initiative which will showcase the country’s oil and gas industry suppliers.

AOG brings together more than 500 exhibitors from 20 countries. It has expanded to cater to these niche industry sectors and, in 2014, for the first time, will occupy space on the second level of the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Registration for the event is free at www.aogexpo.com.au.
