IChemE joins ACI Connect as Association Partner
The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) has joined other leading industry bodies, the Institute of Instrumentation, Control & Automation (IICA) and the Institution of Engineers Australia (EA) as an Association Partner of ACI Connect 2015, to be held at Sydney Showground, 12-13 August.
IChemE is the global professional membership organisation for people with relevant experience or an interest in chemical engineering. It represents the interests of those involved in chemical, biochemical and process engineering worldwide, across a broad range of industrial and academic sectors. There are over 40,000 members in 120 countries with over 4500 of these in Australia.
“We are pleased to welcome IChemE as an event partner, as we continue to build ACI Connect into the place for Australian instrumentation, control and automation professionals and vendors to meet, network, learn and do business together each year,” said Geoff Hird, event organiser and head of Westwick-Farrow Media, which runs the event. IChemE Australia Director Peter Slane added: “As a key industry body, IChemE is committed to supporting education-focused events like ACI Connect. “We see this opportunity as a way to increase the profile of engineering in Australia and to encourage life-long training amongst our community.” |
