Hirschmann Mission Critical Network Design Seminar bigger than 2012 event
The Hirschmann Mission Critical Network Design Training Seminar will be bigger than the 2012 Phuket seminar, featuring 15 technical sessions in five different hands-on labs.
To be held in Brisbane over 6 to 8 March 2013, the event is suitable for network engineers, plant engineers, system integrators and Hirschmann distributors. The event is suitable for anyone involved in the design, implementation and maintenance of mission-critical ethernet networks.

The seminar covers a wide range of contemporary industrial ethernet network design issues, including:
- Network fundamentals and best practice
- Implementing redundancy
- Managing multicast traffic
- Wireless best practice and applications
- Troubleshooting your network
- 10 cool things your switch can do
- IEC61850 - communications in power generation and distribution including traffic control and clock synchronisation
The hands-on labs are intended to reinforce the topics covered in many of the classes while providing the opportunity to learn by doing. The labs include:
- Network redundancy
- Layer 3/routing - basics and advanced
- Network security introduction
- Network security with Tofino
- Wireless LAN
