Tolomatic ACS actuator stepper drive/controller with ethernet

01 February, 2012 by

The addition of ethernet connectivity to Tolomatic’s ACS stepper drive/controller brings greater flexibility and economy to electric actuator applications. The ACS with ethernet supports both EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP, allowing easy connectivity to Allen Bradley PLCs and many other PLCs and HMIs. With built-in configurations for all of Tolomatic’s electric actuators, the ACS with ethernet makes creating linear motion simple. The combination of the ACS and Tolomatic’s ERD low-cost, rod-style electric actuators creates very economical solutions for automation applications such as product changeovers, diverting, sorting, pick-and-place or pressing.

Tolomatic IMA 55 integrated-motor rod-style actuator

07 September, 2011 by

Tolomatic’s larger version of its integrated-motor rod-style actuator is capable of delivering up to 13.3 kN of force with a standard ball screw at a top speed of 30 cm/s. The Tolomatic IMA55 actuator is the largest and most powerful integrated-motor rod-style actuator the company makes and delivers increased dynamic performance and longer service life compared to traditional rod-style actuators. The IMA55 actuator’s integrated motor design is suitable for applications such as pressing, clamping, valve control, spot welding and volumetric filling.
