Trio Datacom ER45e ethernet data radio

Monday, 21 June, 2010 | Supplied by: Trio Datacom Pty Ltd

Trio Datacom has released the ethernet version of the E series full and half duplex radio, the ER45e.

The ER45e ethernet data radio has flexible user configuration options that permit operation with all leading host systems and remote equipment in the SCADA market. With full backward compatibility, it can be directly added to existing E series systems, providing easy installation for expansions and replacements and allowing transition from a serial-based SCADA infrastructure to IP and ethernet.

The E series radio solutions can be deployed as a permanent or temporary alternative to cable-based circuits. Cable-based circuits can be costly to install and inflexible to alter. With the ever-increasing complexity of systems, radio offers the flexibility to adapt and grow. The E series ethernet family represents a suite of ethernet capable, narrow band, 380-520 MHz licensed data radios that provide a transparent asynchronous serial or ethernet data path between a master control application, such as a SCADA system, and terminal application equipment (RTU or PLC), located at one or more remote sites.
