Industrial WIFI wireless ethernet
The ELPRO 240U-E Industrial Wifi Wireless Ethernet unit provides reliable, high-speed Ethernet connectivity. The 240U-E is ideal for process management, data collection / acquisition and intelligent remote management and monitoring.
Each module can be configured as an Access Point, Client / Station, Bridge and Router. This offers real flexibility when faced with a demanding installation, whilst making full use of ELPRO's Industrial Strength 2.4GHz DSSS radio that provides reliable, spectrally efficient technology. Furthermore, the new module, operating at 10/100 BaseT Ethernet, is able to transfer wireless data up to 11Mbps.
The 240U-E has been designed and built for demanding industrial applications, with temperature ratings down to -35 degC (-30 degF), and up to 65 degC (150 degF) with a humidity rating to 99%.
In the advent of a wireless link failure, the 240U-E unit is designed to automatically changeover to another Access Point ensuring secure data transmission continues. The unit also has military-grade AES security encryption of wireless data further enhancing its capabilities. Firewall protection is provided via message filtering at MAC address level.
Maximum throughput via automatic routing to target devices further ensures highly accurate, reliable data transfer.
The 240U-E also includes RS232 / 485 serial port connectivity and a discrete contact I/O channel for alarm transfer.
The ELPRO 240U-E outputs 300mW or 100mW RF power - to suit regulations in different parts of the world. The unit has an outdoor range of up to 5 miles line-of-site with high gain antennas. For internal installations or industrial environments, the range is approx 100 metres (300 feet) through buildings, factory walls and steelwork. Repeater functionality increases operating range even further.
The ELPRO 240U-E offers easy configuration via web-browser. Configuration and diagnostics of remote units is possible via the wireless link ensuring trouble-free installation.
