Industrial spread spectrum data radio

TRIO Datacom has released its K Series frequency hopping spread spectrum data radio suitable for serial data communications in both 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz licence-free frequency bands.

The K series is designed for the most demanding requirements of water, power, oil and gas, and many other critical SCADA and telemetry applications.

The K series data radio can be configured as a master, remote, bridge or repeater, and there are no limits to the number of repeaters in point-to-multipoint and point-to-point systems.

Compatible with all leading industry standard protocols such as MODBUS, DNP 3, IEC870 5 101, DF1, etc featuring both RS 232 and RS 485 user interfaces, as well as a 10 to 30 VDC power supply for maximum flexibility.

With its compact and rugged alloy housing and -40 to +70 ºC operational capability, the industrial grade K Series has a number of features including network bridging with dual antenna ports, data routing, collision avoidance and powerful network wide diagnostics.

The K series shares the same Windows-based GUI Network Management software package allowing it to be integrated with Trio Datacom E and M Series systems.
