Conlab ZigSense wireless sensing system

ZigSense is an Australian-made wireless sensing system using ZigBee mesh network technology as its core communications layer.

A wireless sensing node monitors, records and distributes its own data to a known destination. Sensors data is then made available to PLC, BMS, SCADA stations or internet-based cloud services.

A wireless node may be set to redistribute data generated by other wireless sensors along a multihopping path, thus extending the range and the size of the network.

Strict network membership authentication procedures are enforced while wireless communications can be encrypted to 128 bits level.

An entire ZigSense system can be tested off site then installed without the need for cables, cable trays or cable trenches. This is said to translate to a highly reliable low-power system and very low installation and commissioning costs.

Benefits include: mesh network architecture, low power consumption, low data rate, low installation cost.
